I am home. Wife, son, and dogs are pleased to see me. A mug with cold Magners was waiting for me. I’ll be off the air for a bit, 24 hours or so. Family time, dancing with Irene, running with Strut, taking Strut and Spring to the off leash dog park, a massage to fix…
I am off the plane! In Seattle! And quite likely no planes fir me for almost three weeks!
Thank you all for watching yet another episode of Edwin’s Excellent Adventures in Travel.
Fortunately I had an excellent Plan B (pro tip: always have a Plan B), spending an evening with Joe Zottola (actually it’s plan C, as Plan B was spending an evening with Robert Haight as well but he’s out of town). It’s why I book connections through airports near where I know multiple people.
I made my flight! Luggage got loaded onto this flight (Delta uses RFID tags and the app tracks it and sends me notifications. That was a bit of a run, after 21 hours of flying over 27 hours travel. Fortunately I fly First Class: this unlimited drinks thing is going to come in handy.
Now from D gates to F gates, in fact the last of the F gates.
And … once again a random full patdown and wipe down trace test.
