Sucia Island to port. Echo Bay inside it is lovely anchoring, but in this weather (sunny, mid 70s) I think it’s going to be packed!
Out of Blaine, the wind starting to pick up, making our flag flag pretty, and behind us Surrey, BC, Canada.
Chris helped me raise the sails, we cut engines, and are sailing nicely. I need to pick the wind angle and trim sails, but good sailing weather!
We got out and we’re out on the water. Chris and Molly are relaxing and taking pictures after the hard crew work of getting out of the harbor.
Strut stayed at his aunt Cathi’s (MyOwnly Boarding Kennel) over Independence Day as we were off for our “ShadowCon MidWest” and of course she spoiled him rotten. I’m taking a long-time friend and his granddaughter sailing. We got to Vingilótë, pumped out black water tanks, and, as it has been so hot, empty and refill the water tanks. We were so busy we missed sundowners! So now it’s time for a Belgian Lambiek. I’m thinking the cherry.
