Bourbon Furnace

I love Bourbon Furnaces in the winter when coming home from the cold, wet outside. A Bourbon Furnace, served hot in a large brandy snifter, held in both hands, breathing in the steam coming off of it. Heaven.

Bourbon Furnace

Fresh-pressed cider cooked with some cinnamon and cloves then poured over bourbon.

Equipment

  • Small pan
  • Small sieve

Ingredients

  • 6 oz apple cider fresh-pressed
  • 2 whole cloves
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • oz bourbon

Instructions

  • ut the cider, cloves and cinnamon, in a small pan and heat over medium heat.
  • Pour the bourbon in a tall glass mug or bourbon snifter.
    Pour the hot mixture through a small sieve to pick out the cloves and cinnamon stick) in a large bourbon glass.
    Put the cinnamon stick and serve immediately.
