My trusty FoodSaver died a few weeks back. It had had a good life, heroically handling semi-pro workloads for many years.
I replaced it with a PolyScience chamber vacuum sealer. A very, very cool toy.
This weekend I indulged in making vacuum compressed slices of watermelon, honeydew, and cantaloupe. Awesome taste and amazing texture!
I’m pickling the watermelon rind for use in drinks involving infused vodka: it is time for summery drinks!
