Sunday morning is “Do the dog’s nails” day, specifically Strut’s and Spring’s. They’re black, Strut’s are rock hard, Spring’s grow amazingly fast and especially the outside ones curl.
We do their nails with a Dremel, while they lay on the hardwood floor in the kitchen, easier to clean up the dust, with the foot in question on mine.
They’re pretty good at it.
Normally we travel frequently enough they stay often enough at MyOwnly daycare (outside Monroe where they take awesome care of them – they love staying there) and Cathi Tower gives them a bath and does their nails. It’s why the word they know the kennel by is going to the spa. Cathi paints their nails in amazing colors.
I never painted nails but they like it, especially Spring, also known as Princess Fancy Paws (in no small measure because she hates water to the extent of disliking walking in wet surfaces).
So I’m giving it a whirl. Fast drying, water based, nail polish in a pen.
For Strut I went with a white base and a bright red top.
